RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES

Intermediate Care Facilities

These community residences offer a community living option to those people who need maximum support for their high levels of need. Twenty-four-hour care, supervision, training, recreation and other activities are provided in this structured environment. At the Cherokee County Disabilities and Special Needs Board we have two of these facilities.
Community Training Homes

The Cherokee County Disabilities and Special Needs Board operates five Community Training Homes throughout Cherokee County. Staff members provide guidance and assistance for every resident on a daily basis. Each Community Training Home houses four individuals, and training is provided to guide each individual towards greater independence in their lives.
